Aurral Docs

Aurral is a self-hosted app for music discovery, downloads, and playback. It finds artists you do not have yet, downloads tracks for flows and imported playlists, and plays your library in the browser.

Get started

1. Install Aurral with Docker.
2. Set up the shared filesystem. Aurral must read the files that your other services write.
3. Complete first-run setup.
4. Connect the services that you use.

Note

Lidarr is optional. Without Lidarr, Aurral keeps your music in its Downloads Folder and manages it itself. Connect Lidarr when you want Lidarr to manage some or all of your artists and albums.

How Aurral fits

Aurral indexes the music in its Downloads Folder and, if you connect Lidarr, in the Lidarr root folders. This index is the Library. Aurral plays Library tracks in its built-in player and serves them to Subsonic clients. Navidrome, Plex, and Jellyfin are optional playback servers that receive Aurral playlists.
